Important Dates

Click here for a listing of important dates. All Local Contestants must keep in mind the dates listed on that page, because when you win a local title, you are locked into those dates. All rehearsals are mandatory and may require you to rearrange your academic schedule on those dates. Ask your Local Director for more information.

A word about Children's Miracle Network

As you may know, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (“CMNH”) is the official charity of the Miss America Organization (“MAO”). The Miss New Hampshire CMNH Administrator will set up a page for each local contestant. All local contestants are required to supply the state office with their primary email account before she competes so that the Administrator can set up her account. MAO requires each local contestant to raise a minimum of $100.00 for each local program in which she competes up to a cap of four programs. However, through the Miss NH/Local Chapters Fund-raising Initiative, the minimum $100.00 per local program will be uploaded to your CMNH page each time you compete up to the cap of four ($400.00). (Note: Once you reach the cap, it is no longer necessary to raise any funds after you have competed in four local programs.) For State Contestants the minimum CMNH fundraising requirement is $250.00, and once you win a local title you will have to raise that minimum on your own. The Administrator will supply you with a login and password to your account and you will take over the account. Please upload your photo as soon as you’ve won.

Talent Music Accompaniment Information!

Remember you must keep your talent under two minutes - this is strictly enforced. We highly recommend that you utilize a professional background accompaniment track rather than attempting to "cut and paste." This is especially important for vocalists. You should search the music catalog companies for pre-cut musical accompaniment tapes. There are excellent music companies that cater to talent and pageant competitions, producing popular songs at two minutes. We have included their web links below. Make sure you order the correct time as the companies have both original tracks and edited versions down to the two minutes. They are very economical and can change the key to accommodate your vocal range. Make sure that you ask the Local Director what format you should submit for your music. Most Local Directors will accept a tape or CD. Musical Creations also allows for MP3 files to be downloaded off their site for an economical fee.
