In 1959 Diane Lee (Harris) Grasso won the coveted crown of Miss New Hampshire to become a contestant in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. Diane was a graduate of Manchester, New Hampshire’s Central High School at the time.
The experience of being crowned Miss New Hampshire and attending the Miss America festivities and pageant was a highlight of Diane’s life experience and she has fond memories of this event.

In 1965 Diane married Thomas V. Grasso. Diane returned to her academic studies and earned a degree in nursing and fulfilled her lifelong ambition of becoming a nurse and working in the medical field. She worked in nursing for over twenty four years in ER and with Orthopedic specialists: until her retirement in this genre.
Diane and Thomas have a daughter and two grandchildren. In 1990 they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and live in the suburb of Summerlin. Diane’s husband is a television producer, writer, director with over 284 television shows to his credit. Ironically, Thomas was Executive in Charge of Production under contract to Paramount Studios for Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA at one point in his career.
