What are your hobbies? I really love hearing live music. It doesn’t even matter what kind of music—I find it very enjoyable to watch people perform. I have gone to college concerts to hear Haendel, Broadway theaters to hear show tunes, restaurants to hear harpists, and little clubs in Harlem to hear jazz. The list keeps going to a point where I have to say that following live music really has become a great hobby of mine. |
What has been the most fun, craziest, or most unique job you have ever had? Being one of the few female servers at Sardi’s Restaurant in New York City. I was able to meet a wide range of interesting people—from celebrities and Broadway casts to tourists from around the world. Also, by learning the history of Sardi’s, I was able to learn many facts about the history of the theater district itself. I even got the added bonus of being able to hear the Broadway musical Xanadu playing when I was in my locker room! |
Describe your favorite vacation. My parents would take my older sister, Jenn, and me up to Lake Winnipesauke for the best vacations! We would rent a little place on the lake and play in the water all week. My favorite part was when we would go to a little sand bar that formed in the middle of the lake and play volleyball with each other. Not having to worry about being far from home, we could drive only a couple of hours to be in paradise. |
Are you an early-bird or a night-owl? Time really doesn’t seem to control me. I try to squeeze the recommended hours of sleep in per day but, regardless of the actual time on the clock, my body doesn’t have a problem staying up or getting up when it needs to. Frankly, if I could have it my way I would choose to be an insomniac. One day I’ll sleep for eternity and I’d rather not waste the time that I have now. Too bad our health depends on it, right? |
