Eligibility Requirements
To compete in the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, a candidate must first win a local preliminary pageant. Some local programs have specific geographic eligibility requirements, based on where you live, attend school full-time, or work full-time. However, all programs share the same general eligibility requirements (per the Miss America Organization, May 2025):

For Miss America – Ages 18-28, must be 18 by state competition and no older than 27 at the state competition (tentative state competition date April 29, 2026)

For Miss America’s Teen – Ages 14-18, must be 14 by state competition and no older than 18 at the state competition (tentative state competition date April 29, 2026)

Be a female

Single
-
No legal dependents
-
Must live, work full time, or attend school full time in New Hampshire

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be of good character

Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete

Be able to attend the required Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program event, rehearsal and competition dates - click HERE for the current list of required dates!

Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the Miss NH program should you win the title

Register and pay a registration $49.99 annual MAO Membership fee (once per year) to be eligible for Local competitions
